Privacy Policy

Language notice: This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") is authored in Japanese as the authoritative language. Versions in English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Brazilian Portuguese, or other languages are reference translations provided for the convenience of readers; in case of any discrepancy, the Japanese version prevails (Article 10).

Effective date: 2026-05-15 Last amended: 2026-05-15

Article 1 (Basic policy)

The operator (the "Operator") of the website "jpsalary.keydrop.net" (the "Site") respects the privacy of Site users (the "User") and handles information in accordance with this Policy.

The Site does not require User registration. The Operator does not intentionally collect information that directly identifies the User (such as name, email address, telephone number, or postal address).

Article 2 (Information collected)

In connection with use of the Site, the following information may be collected or used. None of this information directly identifies an individual, but may be processed for technical or statistical purposes by third-party service providers.

  1. Access logs: time of access, referrer URL, user agent, IP address (via the standard logging mechanism of CloudFront).
  2. Cookies and similar technologies:
    • Consent management: localStorage (key: jpsalary_consent_v1) recording the User's consent state, valid for up to 12 months.
    • Country-based delivery: an x-jpsalary-country cookie (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code) issued by CloudFront, valid for 24 hours.
  3. Information derived from Google Analytics 4 (only with the User's consent): visited pages, sessions, device type, region (country level), referrer, browser, anonymized IP-derived information, etc.
  4. Information derived from Google AdSense (only with the User's consent): cookies for advertising delivery, advertising IDs, browsing history, contextual ad-selection information.
  5. Temporarily stored input values: the User's calculator inputs (age, gender, industry, occupation, prefecture, visa type, currency, monthly salary, etc.) are handled exclusively in the User's browser (localStorage, etc.) and are not transmitted to the Operator's servers.

Article 3 (Purposes of use)

The information collected is used for:

  1. operating, providing, improving, maintaining the quality of, and preventing misuse of the Site;
  2. analyzing access trends (anonymous statistics);
  3. optimizing advertising delivery (only with the User's consent, via Google AdSense);
  4. investigating and responding to security incidents and outages;
  5. investigating and responding to violations of this Policy or the Terms of Service;
  6. fulfilling legal obligations.

Article 4 (Cookies / Google Analytics 4)

  1. The Site uses Google Analytics 4 ("GA4") provided by Google LLC. GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies to collect anonymous statistics about the User's interaction with the Site.
  2. GA4 is configured for Google Consent Mode v2, with the default for all storage categories (analytics_storage / ad_storage / ad_user_data / ad_personalization) set to denied. Until the User explicitly grants permission via the consent banner, GA4 sends only minimal pings without identifiers.
  3. GA4 has IP-anonymization (anonymize_ip: true) enabled.
  4. The handling of information by GA4 is subject to Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Google Analytics Terms (https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/us/).
  5. The User may decline GA4 tracking by configuring the browser's cookie settings or installing the GA4 opt-out add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Article 5 (Google AdSense / behavioral advertising)

  1. The Site uses Google AdSense provided by Google LLC to deliver advertisements. AdSense may display interest-based advertising using cookies and advertising IDs.
  2. AdSense cookies are set only when the User selects "Accept all" or grants advertising in the customized consent. Without consent, AdSense displays only contextual (page-content based) advertisements.
  3. To stop personalized advertising, the User may opt out via Google Account ad settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads).
  4. For cookies set by third-party ad networks or advertisers, refer to each provider's privacy policy.

Article 6 (Country-based delivery and GDPR compliance)

  1. The Site uses CloudFront-based country detection (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2). For access from the 31 EU/EEA countries (EU member states plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and the UK), a forced consent modal is displayed until the User makes a choice, restricting main interactions until consent is given.
  2. For Users outside the EU/EEA, a dismissible banner is displayed at the bottom-right of the screen. In all cases, the User's consent state is stored in localStorage for up to 12 months and re-confirmed after expiration.
  3. For audit purposes (GDPR Article 7(1)), the consent record (decision, timestamp, locale, URL, estimated country code) is stored in localStorage only and is not transmitted to the Operator's servers.

Article 7 (Provision of information to third parties)

  1. The Operator does not provide User information to third parties other than the third-party service providers listed in Article 2 (Google LLC, etc.).
  2. Information provided to third-party service providers is limited to the minimum necessary for the operation of each service's features.
  3. The Operator may provide User information outside the scope of this Policy in any of the following cases:
    1. when required by law to disclose;
    2. when necessary to protect human life, body, or property and obtaining the User's consent is difficult;
    3. when necessary to defend the Operator's rights, interests, or reputation in legal or administrative proceedings.

Article 8 (Disclosure, correction, and deletion)

  1. The Site does not collect information that directly identifies an individual; the Operator therefore generally does not hold information subject to individual disclosure, correction, or deletion requests.
  2. The User may delete the Operator's consent records and GA4/AdSense cookies at any time by clearing cookies and localStorage in the browser settings.
  3. IP addresses in CloudFront access logs are automatically deleted in accordance with the standard CloudFront retention period; the Operator has no obligation to respond to individual deletion requests.

Article 9 (Changes to this Policy)

  1. The Operator may modify this Policy at any time without individual notice to the User. Modified Policies take effect from the time of posting on the Site.
  2. If the User uses the Site after modification, the User is deemed to have agreed to the modified Policy.
  3. For material changes, the Operator will endeavor to make reasonable announcements on the Site (banner display, change-history page, etc.).

Article 10 (Language priority)

  1. The authoritative version of this Policy is in Japanese.
  2. Translations into English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Brazilian Portuguese, or any other language are reference translations provided for the convenience of readers.
  3. In case of any interpretive difference, mistranslation, ambiguity, or contradiction between a translation and the Japanese version, the Japanese version always prevails.

Article 11 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

  1. This Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
  2. Any dispute related to this Policy or the handling of personal information on the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

Article 12 (Contact)

Inquiries about this Policy or the handling of personal information shall be directed to the contact information published on the Site. The Operator makes no guarantee as to obligation or timing of response.
